SDS-BIONIC Stone Coat is completely different from traditional coatings and does not merely sit on the surface. In SDS-BIONIC, molecules cross-link with the natural stone surface to form a Covalent bond creating a superior barrier against moisture, stains and etching. SDS-BIONIC Stone Coat is a cost-effective solution for natural stone protection. It extends the life of the stone while preserving its beauty and greatly reducing the need for expensive refinishing. It can be cleaned with water or a mild cleaner. Tough, durable, environmentally sound and free of carcinogens In ASTM Taber Abrasive test D-3363, SDS-BIONIC scored 39.11. It scored 70-75 on the Rockwell Scale and 7-7.5 on the Mohs Scale. A diamond is 100 on the Rockwell Scale and 10 on the Mohs. This means the coatings have a higher resistance to usual wear and tear. With less than 100g/L VOC it outperforms the most stringent air-quality controls in the US. SDS-BIONIC also measures as being carcinogen free as defined by California Prop 65.
